Aaron Ramsdale ‘will leave’ Arsenal as new details emerge – Sources
Newcastle United target Aaron Ramsdale is set to depart Arsenal this summer, sources have told Football Insider.
Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, transfer correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed that the Gunners’ second-choice shot-stopper “will leave” the Emirates at the end of the season.
Ramsdale, 25, is a reported summer target of the Magpies, who have been without first-choice goalkeeper Nick Pope through a shoulder injury since December.
However, well-placed sources have told Football Insider that Eddie Howe’s side are unlikely to spend in excess of £30million for the England international, who moved from Sheffield United to Arsenal for a reported £24million in August 2021.

It is also believed that “a number” of other Premier League clubs are monitoring Ramsdale’s situation at the north London giants ahead of the summer.
After two seasons as the Gunners’ top choice in between the sticks, Ramsdale was dropped for David Raya, whose loan move from Brentford is set to be made permanent this summer.
After starting Arsenal’s opening four Premier League games, the Englishman has made just seven appearances in all competitions – two of these coming against the Bees as Raya is ineligible to play against his parent club.
Newcastle are also plotting moves to bolster their backline for next season, with Football Insider revealing (3 April) that they are planning to sign two central defenders in the upcoming transfer window.
