Abraham cited as Tottenham star with 'all the ability in the world' told to complete move to Euro giants - pundit
Danny Mills has suggested Dele Alli could quit Tottenham and join a top European club to revive his career.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Leeds United and England defender cited Tammy Abraham’s success at Roma as a blueprint Dele could follow.
The 37-time England international was axed from the Tottenham starting XI for their narrow 2-1 win over Aston Villa today.
It comes after he was withdrawn at half-time during last week’s humbling to Arsenal.
Including that game, Dele started Spurs’ opening six Premier League games.
Football Insider revealed on September 28 Tottenham will now wait until next summer to sell the midfielder who is difficult to manage behind the scenes.

“He’s played him and given him the opportunities to perform and he’s not quite taken that opportunity,” Mills told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.
“That would be the biggest disappointment.
“He’s a very talented player, he’s got all the ability in the world. But for whatever reason, he’s not producing it at the moment.
“Maybe he does need a change of scenery, maybe that’s what he needs. Look at Tammy Abraham…
“You need to feel loved, you need to feel wanted. If you don’t then suddenly you can think ‘Why am I here? What’s the point? However hard I try I’m not going to be appreciated’. You just lose a little bit of an edge.”
Abraham swapped Chelsea for Roma over the summer and has already scored four times in nine appearances across all competitions.
Dele is under contract with Tottenham until the summer of 2024.
