'Absolutely Exceptional' - '10 ft tall' Spurs player tipped to start v Arsenal: Mills Exclusive
Danny Mills has backed young Tottenham defender Joe Rodon to retain his place against Arsenal on Sunday after his impressive full-debut last weekend.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley, the former England and Manchester City defender hailed Jose Mourinho’s man-management of the Wales international.
After joining the club from Swansea City in October, Rodon was handed his first start for Spurs last weekend in their 0-0 draw away at Chelsea.
Before the visit to Stamford Bridge, the 23-year-old had been limited to just 10 minutes of Premier League action.
He did not feature against LASK on Thursday as he was signed by the club after they had registered the Europa League squad and is therefore ineligible in the competition.
“There’s no reason why he can’t keep his place against Arsenal,” Mills told Football Insider.

“Mourinho is the master of giving a young player some confidence and saying ‘go on, go out there and do what I need you to do.’
“People often complain about Mourinho but his man-management over the course is great, yes, there are always issues, but what manager hasn’t had those sort of things?
“When you look at his track record and what he’s done it is absolutely exceptional.
“He will build players up, he will make them feel 10 feet tall, he will make them feel they are the best player on the planet and will give them that self-belief and confidence to go out and perform.”
Spurs paid Swansea £11million for Rodon on the domestic deadline day in October.
He played 54 times for the Championship club and helped them reach the play-offs last season.
