Ademola Lookman delivers Twitter verdict after Everton win v Sunderland

By Danny Wright

Ademola Lookman has hailed Everton’s three points against Sunderland on Twitter, calling their 2-0 win on Saturday afternoon a ‘great victory’.

Everton signed 19-year-old Lookman for £7.5million in January from Charlton and the teenager has wasted no time in getting settled on Merseyside, grabbing himself a regular starting role in Ronald Koeman’s side.

The winger played 60 minutes on Saturday before being replaced by Kevin Mirallas when the score was 1-0. And Lookman was delighted with the result.

“Come on you blues! Great victory from the team today” Lookman said.

Idrissa Gueye opened his goalscoring account for the Toffees in the 40th minute before Romelu Lukaku equalled a club record of 60 Premier League goals when he rounded off the victory with 10 minutes left.

Lookman already has his first goal for Everton when he scored in the 4-0 rout of Manchester City in January.

He has made six appearances for Koeman’s side since moving from Charlton and is yet to taste defeat at his new club.

While at Charlton, Lookman enjoyed some great performances in League One. In 21 appearances for the Addicks he scored five goals and set up two.
