Agbonlahor 100% sure on Dean Henderson returning to Man United after 'criminal' rant
Gabby Agbonlahor has insisted Dean Henderson “definitely won’t” succeed David de Gea as the number one goalkeeper at Man United when he returns to the club this summer.
The former Aston Villa striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, claimed the Red Devils aren’t likely to “forgive” his interview rant – meaning the 26-year-old is likely to be sold this summer.
Henderson is set to return to Old Trafford at the end of the 2022-23 campaign when his Nottingham Forest loan expires.
According to The Telegraph (9 May), David de Gea has agreed an extended Man United deal on reduced wages – but may not be the club’s number one shot-stopper going forward.
Henderson hit out at the Red Devils as he left for Forest last summer (2022), slamming the “criminal” treatment which saw him “waste 12 months” of his career during the 2021-22 campaign.
The England international kept six clean sheets in 20 games on loan at the City Ground before suffering an injury in January which has now proved season-ending.

Agbonlahor told Football Insider’s Ewan Kingsbury: “I think it’ll be so difficult for him to continue at Man United.
“If you speak out, especially at a club like Man United, then you don’t help yourself. I can’t see them being very forgiving.
“It wouldn’t surprise me to see him go straight up for sale.
“He definitely won’t be number one, I’m sure of that.
“He’s had injuries, and he’s not coming back off a great season at Forest. I think he’ll definitely be number two at best – and maybe even sold this summer.”
