Agbonlahor expects Aston Villa to accept £15m Keinan Davis bid amid Forest claim
Aston Villa will accept a “£15million” bid for Keinan Davis this summer and reinvest in the squad, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, Aston Villa’s record Premier League goalscorer suggested Nottingham Forest may look at other strikers instead of Davis after being promoted to the Premier League.
The 24-year-old spent the second half of the 2021-22 season on loan at Forest and was a key part of the side that won promotion via the play-offs.
The Mirror reported on Monday (30 May) that it will take a £15million bid for Aston Villa to let the forward leave permanently.
“It all depends on Forest,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.
“Forest have got the whole world to look at now they are into the Premier League.
“The good thing about Davis is that he will not demand big wages. He won’t be on big wages now at Villa.
“It makes sense at a £15million fee and Keinan Davis will not be demanding silly wages.
“That makes sense for Forest and for Villa as well. I really like Keinan Davis but he’s not the answer for Aston Villa.
“It’s the right thing for Aston Villa to cash in on him and that £15million can be reinvested.”

Davis scored five times in 22 games for Forest across all competitions, including starting the 1-0 win over Huddersfield Town in the play-off final last week (29 May).
He is under contract at Villa Park until the summer of 2024 after penning a four-year deal in the summer of 2020.
In other news, Aston Villa could sign the new ‘Kieran Tierney’ after a £25million update.
