Agbonlahor shares bold Bamford prediction after Smyth's Leeds reveal
Gabby Agbonlahor has backed Patrick Bamford to have another successful season in the Premier League with Leeds United.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England forward delivered his verdict after it was reported the striker is in line for a new contract.
The Yorkshire Evening Post’s Graham Smyth claimed yesterday (27 June) Bamford is set to be offered a new deal over the summer.
It comes after the 27-year-old enjoyed his best-ever season as he finished the campaign with 17 Premier League goals.
Harry Kane was the only Englishman who scored more in the top-flight.
There were question marks over Bamford before the season began with Rodrigo brought in for a club-record fee over the summer.

However, Bamford’s fine form meant Rodrigo was limited to an attacking midfield role.
And Agbonlahor has tipped him to carry that on into next season.
He told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “Bamford definitely deserves a new contract, he’s been outstanding.
“He deserves a new contract because of the way he played last season.
“I can tell with some players they won’t get second season syndrome and he won’t. I can tell with his work rate, his finisher and he works hard for the team.
“He’ll definitely produce the goods again and deserves a new contract.”
Bamford has now scored 43 times and provided 14 assists in 110 games across all competitions for the Whites.
His current deal was set to expire in the summer of 2022 but the Athletic reported in May that it had been secretly extended.
