Agbonlahor swipes at Harry Kane after Tottenham latest – ‘I’m seriously questioning him’
Gabby Agbonlahor has insisted he will “seriously question” Harry Kane’s ambition if he signs a new contract at Tottenham.
The former Aston Villa striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, suggested the summer window could provide the 29-year-old with the “last chance” of his career to win significant silverware.
Sources told this site on 25 February that Tottenham have already opened talks with Kane over a new deal – with his current contract set to expire in less than 18 months.
Football Insider also revealed on 4 March that Spurs have slapped a £100million+ price tag on the England captain in an attempt to ward off interest from Man United.
Speaking after the Lilywhites were eliminated from the Champions League on Wednesday and quoted by The Guardian (9 March), Kane reiterated his desire to win trophies and insisted a top-four finish is “not good enough”.
Spurs face a fight with rivals Liverpool and Newcastle to secure a place in Europe’s elite club competition for the 2023-24 season.
Agbonlahor told Football Insider’s Ewan Kingsbury: “If he signs a new deal with Spurs, then I will be seriously questioning his ambition.
“He’s almost 30, and his legs are gonna start going. He can go and sign for three years at Man United now and have a great chance of winning a Premier League title, and more.
“If you leave it another year, then that chance might not come.

“It’s a tricky situation for Kane. He might have left it too long.
“This is his last chance to go and I think he has to take it. Spurs are going nowhere.”
