Agbonlahor tips Harrison to explode at Leeds after what he's heard from 'players'

Gabby Agbonlahor has tipped Jack Harrison to get even better for Leeds United once his permanent move from Man City is confirmed.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England forward claimed the winger will benefit from being able to call Leeds home.

Football Insider reported on 24 June the Whites will complete the permanent signing of Harrison on 1 July.

The 24-year-old has developed following three seasons on loan at Leeds, which yielded 18 goals and 20 assists in 128 games.

He stepped up to the Premier League with ease last season as his 36 appearances yielded eight goals and eight assists.

Raphinha and Harrison firmly established themselves as Marcelo Bielsa’s first-choice wingers.

Harrison ended the campaign, alongside Villa captain Jack Grealish, with the joint-most direct goal involvements of any English midfielder in the division.

“It’s always nice as a player to have a home,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.

“I’ve spoken to players during my time and loans don’t really feel like you’re at home.

“If they can get that done on a permanent, you’ll see an even better version of Harrison.

“Fingers crossed that can get done and he can become a permanent player for the club.”

Harrison has never played a competitive game for Manchester City despite signing a four-and-a-half-year deal when he joined in January 2018.

He was immediately loaned out to Middlesborough and joined Leeds after an unsuccessful period on Wearside.

In other news, Man United may have opened the door for Leeds United to sign a long-term target as deal close.
