Agbonlahor tips Nuno-Tottenham talks to collapse after source's major update today
Gabby Agbonlahor has suggested negotiations between Tottenham and Nuno Espirito Santo may break down because of his demands.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England forward claimed Nuno’s big backroom staff and potential transfer demands could stop a deal from being completed.
Football Insider exclusively revealed on Wednesday (23rd June) that Spurs had surprisingly turned their attention to the ex-Wolves boss .
A Spurs source updated today to reveal terms have been agreed with the Portugese, 47,and there are only a few issues to be ironed out.
Nuno has held talks with both Cyrstal Palace and Everton over taking over.
Football Insider revealed on 7 June he had interviewed for the Everton job but the size of his backroom staff was a stumbling block.

“I think Nuno would want the Spurs job,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.
“But Nuno Espirito Santo has been known to want a big coaching staff with him. That’s something that stopped him from getting the Palace job, stopped him from getting the Everton job.
“Maybe that’s something Spurs might not want either.
“Clubs are getting ever more reluctant to allow managers to bring in lots of staff. They like them to bring in two coaches, a goalkeeper coach and that’s it. Not even their own physios.
“It will be interesting to see what they do. Will he want the job if he doesn’t get the money?
“We saw what happened with Jose Mourinho. He didn’t spend a ridiculous amount and he struggled with that Spurs team. Other managers will think the same. It’s not good to just jump into any manager job and end up doing a really bad job and it affecting your career.”
