Alan Shearer hits out at Kaiser Chiefs member, has major pop at Leeds
By Dominic Toner
Alan Shearer has had a pop at Kaiser Chiefs member Simon Rix on Twitter and his hometown club Leeds too.
Rix, who is the bassist of indie band Kaiser Chiefs and a big Leeds fans, voiced on his personal Twitter account that Newcastle manager Rafael Benitez should have walked the Championship this season with his talented squad.
However, former Newcastle striker Shearer responded to the claim on Twitter by mocking Leeds.
He should have won the league with that squad. #shouldhavewalkedit

Newcastle secured their promotion to the Premier League on Monday night with a 4-1 victory at home to Preston and completed the feat at the first attempt.
Benitez’s side were installed as the strong favourites in pre-season due to their strong investment in the transfer window.

They have now guaranteed their promotion to the top-flight, but could miss out on the Championship title to leaders Brighton.
Meanwhile, Leeds have been vying for promotion during most of the season and have been around the top-six places for the majority.
However, Garry Monk’s side have suffered a major dip in form lately and have slipped down into seventh, just outside of the play-off places.
The Whites now have just two games remaining to force their way back in, but are relying on results elsewhere to go in their favour.
In other Leeds news, they are in danger of losing their senior ace if they fail to get promoted.
