Alan Shearer delivers verdict on Tottenham 24-year-old after transformation

Alan Shearer has stated that Christian Eriksen looked a lot more “confident” after he helped Tottenham defeat Swansea 5-0 at White Hart Lane on Saturday afternoon.
The 24-year-old playmaker scored two goals and provided an assist as the north London club cruised to all three points against the relegation strugglers.
Eriksen, who scored in the 2-1 defeat to Chelsea last Saturday, had only assisted three goals in his first 11 Premier League games, before scoring three and assisting one in back-to-back games.
Former Newcastle striker Shearer provided his verdict on Eriksen’s transformation in form and explained what the Denmark international did well against the Welsh side.
“He got a goal last week and I think for the most part of the season I don’t think he has been at it,” said Shearer on the Match of the Day programme. “He moved the ball a lot quicker (against Swansea) and he looked a lot more confident.”

Eriksen has played 19 Premier League, Champions League and EFL Cup games for Spurs this term, scoring five and assisting four.
Despite suffering their first defeat of the Premier League season last week, Mauricio Pochettino’s side produced an emphatic response against the Swans.
The win on Saturday means the White Hart Lane outfit remain in fifth place on 27 points from 14 games, three behind Manchester City in fourth and seven behind leaders Chelsea.
Pochettino’s side, who have already been knocked out of the Champions League, host CSKA Moscow on Wednesday for their final group game of the campaign.
They then travel to Old Trafford to take on Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United four days later, looking to earn back-to-back wins.
