Hazard delivers verdict on Tottenham victory against Swansea

By Dominic Toner

Micky Hazard expressed his delight on Twitter after Tottenham’s emphatic victory over Swansea.

Spurs recorded a comfortable 5-0 home victory against Bob Bradley’s side and remain seven points behind league leaders Chelsea, who saw off Manchester City at the Etihad.

Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen scored two goals each, while Heung-Min Son also got on the scoresheet for Maurico Pochettino’s side.

They bounced back from their narrow 2-1 defeat to Chelsea last week and have their top four aspirations back on track.

Ex-Spurs player Hazard was pleased with the performance against Swansea and believes they can get a run going with some good fixtures coming up.

“Great performance boys, great tempo and high press loved it, great start to a decent run of games,” Hazard wrote on his personal Twitter account.

Spurs face CSKA Moscow in the Champions League group game on Tuesday and must avoid defeat to qualify for the Europa League.

The north London club then face Premier League matches against Manchester United, Hull, Burnley and Southampton before the new year.

Pochettino’s side have a good opportunity to pick up points in the table and try force their way into the top four.

Kane’s return from injury has been a major boost in recent weeks and he celebrated signing a new long-term deal with Spurs by scoring two goals.

The 23-year-old has now scored six goals in just five games since his comeback from an ankle injury and is a huge addition to the side.
