BT Sport pundit Alan Stubbs has given his verdict on Rangers’ January transfer business and believes the Gers have made some “very, very good signings.”
Gers boss Graeme Murty added six new faces to his side in January with Jason Cummings, Greg Docherty, Sean Goss, Russell Martin, Jamie Murphy and Glenn Middleton all arriving while Declan John made his loan deal a permanent move.
The Gers have won all three games since returning to action following the winter break as they look to overtake Aberdeen in second-place in the Scottish Premiership and reel in runaway leaders Celtic.
Stubbs thinks the Gers now have a stronger squad than rivals Aberdeen after the January transfer window closed on Wednesday night
“I think at this moment in time, Rangers (have a stronger squad). Graeme Murty and his recruitment team deserve credit because they have made some very, very good signings,” Stubbs said during BT Sports’ video shared on Twitter.
Q: Who has the better squad: Aberdeen or Rangers?
Stubbs: I think at this moment in time, Rangers. They've made some very, very good signings.https://t.co/x3XST7Ffax

The Light Blues’ supporters have been delighted with the strides made by the Ibrox giants during the transfer window with Cummings in particular a big favourite of the Gers fans.
Murty’s side take on Hibs on Saturday afternoon in a must-win clash for the Gers after Aberdeen opened up a three-point lead in the Scottish Premiership following their midweek win over Ross County.
The Light Blues have a game in hand on the Dons – Tuesday’s clash with Partick Thistle – and will be hoping the Dons slip up this weekend and give the Gers an opportunity to capitalise in midweek.
