Alex Moreno: Four clubs make moves to sign Aston Villa star

Nottingham Forest, Villarreal, Sevilla, and Valencia have all registered their interest in signing Aston Villa left-back Alex Moreno, sources have told Football Insider.

Football Insider revealed [July 26] that the 31-year-old is keen on a move back to his native Spain following the signing of Ian Maatsen from Chelsea.

However, Nuno Espirito Santo will attempt to keep the left-back in the Premier League for the upcoming season.

The Spaniard was not part of the match-day squad for the game at the London Stadium on Saturday evening, in which Villa beat West Ham 2-1.

Villa are open to letting Moreno leave the club and will listen to loan and permanent offers.

The 31-year-old was only a bit-part player under Unai Emery last season, starting just 10 Premier League games.
