Alexander Isak cited as Nottingham Forest tipped to sign ‘world beater’ after £100m reveal – Agbonlahor

Nottingham Forest should try and sign a “world beater” striker like Alexander Isak for “£60million” in January, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker claimed Forest have a lot of “nearly players” but need to add guaranteed goals and assists.

The 6-0 defeat to Arsenal on Sunday (30 October) left Forest bottom of the Premier League table, three points from safety.

Sources told Football Insider last week (26 October) that the club are planning to spend up to £100million in January to try and avoid relegation.

“The thing I would do if I was Nottingham Forest with £100million is go and buy a £60million player and a £40million player,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.

“Not loads of little ones, they’ve got so many players like that.

“Go and buy a world beater who can be that striker who gets you the goals to stay up, for instance. Or that winger who can guarantee goals and assists.

“Nottingham Forest have got a lot of nearly players, for me. A lot of £10million, £15million players. Go and buy players who are going to make a difference.

“Look at Isak, go and get players like that. Players who are going to guarantee you performances.

“Not nearly players, players that have been there and done that.”

Forest brought in 22 new players during the summer transfer window following their promotion via the Championship play-offs.

Steve Cooper is yet to find a line-up and system that suits his new look squad.
