Alfonso Pedraza has revealed his excitement as Leeds prepare to face Neil Warnock’s Cardiff at Elland Road on Saturday.
The 20-year-old could be handed his first start by manager Garry Monk, after moving to the Yorkshire giants on loan from La Liga outfit Villarreal on deadline day.
Posting on his personal Twitter account, Pedraza described the match as an “important” fixture as Leeds look to put Sunday’s 2-1 defeat to Yorkshire rivals Huddersfield behind them.

Pedraza, who spent the first half of the season on loan at Spanish second division side CD Lugo, made his debut as a substitute against Huddersfield and looked sharp from the off.
With Souleymane Doukara and Stuart Dallas failing to have an impact against David Wagner’s side last time out, Spaniard Pedraza could be in line to start his first match for Leeds.
The Spain Under-21 international is currently only on loan at Elland Road, with a view to a permanent deal in the summer.
Monk will be hoping Pedraza can inspire Leeds to securing just that, starting with a win against Cardiff on Saturday. Three points is enough to take his side into third.
An 18th win of the season against the Welsh giants could see Leeds also move to within four points of the automatic promotion places, but need Brighton, Huddersfield and Reading to drop points.
In other Leeds news, Chris Wood has delivered this brilliant response to his £15million price tag.
