Alfonso Pedraza posts Twitter message to Leeds fans ahead of Wigan clash
By Will Butcher
Alfonso Pedraza wants to put aside the disappointment of missing out on a play-off spot with a Leeds victory against Wigan in potentially his last game for the club.
The 20-year-old winger is currently on loan from La Liga giants Villarreal, after putting pen to paper on a loan deal for the second half of the 2016-17 campaign back in January.
Spain Under-21 international Pedraza urged his side to “finish with positive sensations” on his personal Twitter account as he looks for Leeds to triumph in what is likely to be his last game.

Leeds’ number 29 has failed to make the desired impact at Elland Road since his move from Spain, scoring just one goal for the Yorkshire giants in a 3-1 away win against Birmingham.
Making 13 appearances in total for Garry Monk’s side, Pedraza has had to fight for a place with the likes of Souleymane Doukara, Stuart Dallas, Hadi Sacko, Kemar Roofe and Modou Barrow.

Monk watched from the sidelines as Leeds’ enthralling 3-3 draw against Norwich at Elland Road meant they must now hope for Fulham to lose and beat Wigan at the DW Stadium.
If they were to qualify for the Championship play-offs, Leeds would also need a huge 13-goal swing in their advantage as Fulham have a far superior goal difference.
Pedraza could be handed his ninth start under Monk against Wigan, as Leeds look to go one better than the 1-1 draw that took place at Elland Road back in October.
In other Leeds news, this 25-year-old stopper is the Whites’ transfer priority if Monk stays.
