Alfredo Morelos may copy Connor Goldson after latest update in Rangers talks - pundit
Alfredo Morelos may copy Connor Goldson and sign a new contract with Rangers, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker claimed Morelos would “explore the options” but could still sign a new deal at Rangers.
The striker, who turns 26 later this month, has entered the final 12 months of his contract with his long-term future uncertain.
Rangers Review reported on Monday (13 June) that the club are still in talks over a new deal and have not given up hope of him committing his future to Ibrox.
Goldson looked set to quit the Gers this summer until he signed a new four-year contract with the club at the beginning of the month.
Asked for his verdict on Morelos’ future, Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “I think he will explore the offers, similar to Goldson.

“Goldson explored the options and maybe he couldn’t get a better deal than Rangers offered or Rangers put their deal up a bit.
“I’m sure he’ll be looking at different options, Morelos. He’ll maybe want to play in a bigger league.
“But getting to the final of the Europa League, that’s attractive for players to stay at Rangers and maybe do it again.
“It will be interesting. Rangers have got a good core of players so it’s a good club to stay at.”
Morelos moved to Ibrox in the summer of 2017 and Goldson arrived a year later.
The Colombia international has scored 113 times in 224 games across all competitions and is the club’s record goalscorer in European competitions.
