Alfredo Morelos predicted to stay at Rangers after Sky update - pundit
Alfredo Morelos may yet stay at Rangers this summer despite the potential arrival of Antonio Colak.
That’s according to former Leeds United stopper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the striker situation at Ibrox.
According to Sky Sports (29 June), Rangers have agreed a fee of £1.8million for the PAOK striker and it is claimed the player is keen to move to Ibrox after finding opportunities limited in Greece.
Morelos, 26, has entered the final 12 months of his contract with his long-term future uncertain
Rangers Review reported on 13 June that the club are still in talks over a new deal and have not given up hope of him committing his future to Ibrox.
Kenny insists Rangers simply needed another striker and claims Colak may not be Morelos’ replacement.

“He got a decent amount of goals last season so it will be interesting to see how he does,” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“It’s not a big gamble, is it? It’s less than £2million, you can get conference players for that these days, no disrespect to them.
“It will be interesting to see if he is a replacement, 19 goals is a good return but can he replace what Morelos gives the team in terms of character?
“It’s a big ask but it’s one to keep an eye on. Could Morelos stay? Yeah, I don’t see why not, Rangers needed another striker.”
Colak has scored three goals in 29 total games for the club though he bagged 29 in 38 league games while on loan at Malmo for a spell during 2021.
He has scored 128 goals in 300 games as a professional for 13 clubs.
