Ezgjan Alioski has showed his commitment to the Leeds United cause by raving about his teammates’ performance in Saturday’s 5-0 hammering of Burton Albion.
Alioski took to Twitter on Sunday night after being surprisingly axed from the starting XI to make way for new striker signing Pierre-Michel Lasogga.
Manager Thomas Christiansen gave the nod to trio Pablo Hernandez, Samuel Saiz and Kemar Roofe as he reshaped his side and his selection paid immediate dividends with an emphatic performance that featured a two-goal debut from German Lasogga.
Alioski might have been privately miffed to miss out but praised a “great game” and “great teamwork” from his teammates, and revealed he was “pumped” for Tuesday night’s home clash against Birmingham.

Leeds could move to top of the Championship table if they beat Birmingham and leaders Cardiff fail to win at Preston.
The Yorkshire giants have 14 points from their opening six matches, two adrift of Neil Warnock’s early pacesetters.
Alioski, 25, has quickly become a fans favourite since joining from Swiss club Lugano this summer.
He started the first five of the Leeds’ league fixtures and scored a long-range rocket in the 2-0 win at Nottingham Forest immediately prior to the international break.
