Allardyce: This Everton player will give team a new dimension
Sam Allardyce has admitted that Everton have been “crying out” for Yannick Bolaise as the winger nears a return to the first team.
In an interview with the Times, the Toffees boss shared that Bolaise adds a new dimension to the team due to the qualities he posseses.
“You’re talking about ability and pace in that position, said Allardyce.
“It will be very pleasing to have him back in the squad, but I will be very delicate with the introduction.”
The winger has been kept out of action since last December with a serious knee injury.
Bolaise made a cameo appearance for Everton’s Under-23 against Leicester City last Monday, which excited Everton fans.
Allardyce is keen to re-introduce him to the team slowly, despite rating him, due to how long he has been sidelined.
The winger has only made 15 appearances for Everton since his £25million move from Crystal Palace, due to his injury.
The Toffees boss admitted that Bolaise could start making the bench in order to get some minutes, starting on Monday against Swansea City.
Everton are aiming to make it six games across all competitions unbeaten when they host the Swans.
However Swansea City are unbeaten on their last three visits to Goodison Park and won the last meeting between the sides 1-0.
