Gabriel Agbonlahor has claimed West Brom signing Robert Snodgrass is the type of player Sam Allardyce will “love”.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, Snodgrass’ former Aston Villa teammate Agbonlahor suggested Allardyce now needs to add a new striker to get on the end of the Scotland international’s “great delivery”.
The 33-year-old has signed an 18-month deal at the Hawthorns after spending four years at West Ham United.

He is Allardyce’s first signing as Baggies boss after he joined the club in December with the task of keeping them in the Premier League.
“He’s a big one that they’ll be wanting to make a big impact,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider.
“Snodgrass is what you’d expect. He’s hardworking, great delivery with a great left foot.
“He’s a player that Allardyce is going to love because you can play him on the left-wing and you know he’s going to put great crosses in.
“But Sam Allardyce needs to find a striker as soon as possible who can get on the end of them. I think that’s what he’s looking for because at the moment they don’t really have a striker who will get on the end of Snodgrass’ crosses.
“I’m sure they’ll be looking for someone like that to bring in because Karlan Grant is injured at the minute.”
Snodgrass has scored 26 goals and provided 25 assists in 163 Premier League games across spells with West Ham and Hull City.
The 28-time Scotland international spent a season on loan with Villa from the Hammers where he contributed 13 assists in 40 Championship games.
