Darren Bent has been left raving over the talents of Wolves winger Diogo Jota as he reveals he always buys the forward on Football Manager.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Aston Villa and England international was full of praise for the Portuguese star, heralding his movement and decision making both on and off the ball.
The 22-year-old has established himself as a mainstay in Nuno Espirito Santo’s starting XI after joining on an initial loan move from Atletico Madrid back in 2017.
Bent says that he is a huge admirer of the left-sided attacker and what he brings to the side, admitting he holds Jota in high esteem both in real life and in the digital world.
Bent told Football Insider: “I’m a big fan of Jota. I like the way he gets on the ball and his movement off the ball is just unbelievable. He runs in behind, high energy, with the ball or running without the ball he gets into good positions.
“When he gets into the final third, he gets his head up and either look to take the shot on or try to set up Jimenez. Put it this way, I always buy him first on Football Manager.”
Jota has played 93 times for Wolves since moving to Molineux, netting 31 goals and setting his teammates up with 18 assists.
His debut season in the Premier League saw him score nine times and assist a further five, although he has nothing to his name in his opening four appearances in the league this campaign.
