Andrea Radrizzani prepares to sell stake in Leeds - report
Andrea Radrizzani is set to boost the coffers of Leeds United after agreeing to sell a minority share of the club, according to a report.
The Yorkshire Evening Post calims that Radrizzani is looking to bring in new investors ahead of a busy summer transfer window and is in negotiations with a foreign party.
It is thought that the sale would bring his stake in the club down to 90%, but he would remain as chairman and retain majority control of the club.
Football Insider verdict:
This is huge news that should make Leeds fans very excited. Radrizzani is set to secure a huge cash injection just before the start of the summer transfer window, with a loan of almost £9million converted into shares. This will make it easier for investment to go ahead. Whether this is part of the Myanmar trip will become apparent in due course, but there were rumours that he was discussing club business while he was out there. In the day-to-day this won’t change much with Radrizzani staying in control of the club. But, it should mean that the club has a much bigger transfer kitty which will also be swelled by the sale of players. It might concern some that he is having to sell to buy effectively, but it could spell very good news as Radrizzani looks to be going all out to get the club back in the Premier League next season.
