Andrey Santos, Bruno Guimaraes react to hotly-anticipated Chelsea newcomer’s message
Andrey Santos and Newcastle midfielder Bruno Guimaraes reacted to a message from a “cracked” young star who will join Chelsea this summer.
Santos spent last season at Strasbourg on loan, scoring 10 and assisting three goals as the BlueCo-owned club narrowly missed out on Champions League football on the final day of the season.
The Brazilian will return to his parent club this summer after representing his national side in World Cup qualifying matches against Ecuador and Paraguay.
Alongside him in the midfield will be Arsenal target and Newcastle star Guimaraes, as the pair look to play their part in Carlo Ancelotti‘s first games in charge of the Selecao.
Joining them will also be a young star who is set to complete his much-awaited switch from Brazil this summer, after a transfer was agreed in June 2024.

Estevao links up with Brazil squad ahead of Chelsea switch
Estevao signed for Chelsea in the summer of 2024, but owing to his age, the talented winger has been forced to wait a year before moving to West London.
The Blues are competing in the Club World Cup this summer in North America, where fans will likely get their first chance to see the former Palmeiras winger in a blue shirt after months of building anticipation.
But before that, Estevao has joined the Brazil squad ahead of their World Cup qualifiers on 6 and 11 June, sharing several images of himself in training with the squad on Instagram, captioned with a Brazil flag, and a smiling emoji.
Santos replied to his new teammate: “craque irmao” which roughly translates to “cracked brother”, praising the youngster, whilst Guimaraes liked the post.
Jadon Sancho departure makes room for Estevao in Chelsea starting XI
Football Insider Verdict
England is a notoriously difficult country for South American players to thrive in.
Angel Di Maria, Juan Sebastian Veron, Radamel Falcao and plenty of others have arrived with plenty of pedigree, only to endure a miserable time in the Premier League.
But in Estevao, Chelsea have a bona fide superstar in the making who should quickly prove he is not just a luxury winger.
Last season, the winger won 78 per cent of his tackles, showing his fearlessness on his way to scoring 13 goals and assisting nine in the Brazilian Serie A, a league renowned for it’s rough treatment of tricky stars.
With Jadon Sancho now on his way back to Man United, many may assume that Chelsea could look to buy another left-winger this summer.
But despite his tender age, Estevao is more ready to make an instant impact in the Premier League than many are giving him credit for.
