Sky Sports Scottish football pundit Andy Walker has given his prediction for the upcoming Rangers match v Kilmarnock at Ibrox on Saturday.
Writing in his column on the Sky Sports website, Walker has tipped the Gers to get back to winning ways after the Old Firm loss to Celtic with a narrow 1-0 victory.
His tip for key player is forward Alfredo Morelos, who he claims “has to quickly get over his horror miss against Celtic last weekend, time to get back on the goal trail.”
The Gers go into the game nine points behind league leaders Celtic and five points ahead of third placed Aberdeen, who have a game in hand on the Ibrox side.
The Light Blues will be looking for a measure of revenge against Steve Clarke’s side, who won 2-1 at Rugby Park in November, in the last league meeting between the sides.
Football Insider verdict
The game against Kilmarnock is a must-win for Graeme Murty’s side, who will be aiming to get back on track following the 3-2 defeat to Celtic which all but ended their title hopes. The match against Killie will be anything but easy though, as they are the current form team in Scotland, but they will be reeling from their midweek Scottish Cup exit against Aberdeen. If the Light Blues are to finish in second place in the league table and build confidence ahead of next month’s Old Firm Scottish Cup semi-final, they really need to be winning matches like the one against Kilmarnock, no matter how well the Rugby Park outfit are playing.
