Sky Sports’ Scottish football pundits Ian Crocker and Andy Walker have been predicting the upcoming Scottish Premiership fixtures and both are in agreement that Rangers will win this weekend.
In their column on the Sky Sports website, both men are tipping Rangers to beat St Johnstone, and agree on the scoreline but differ on the key man for the Gers.
Ian Crocker is going for a comfortable 2-0 win for Rangers, and his key man is Alfredo Morelos who he described as “an enjoyable watch”.
Meanwhile, Andy Walker is also going for a 2-0 Gers win, and his key man for the game is Jason Holt, who he believes is “starting to understand the demands of playing for such a big club.”
Both players featured in the recent 2-1 win over Hibs at Easter Road, with Morelos replacing the injured Kenny Miller and scoring the winning goal.
The Gers have the chance to cut the gap on Celtic at the top of the Scottish Premiership table to just two points with a victory in Saturday’s game, as the Hoops are not until Sunday when they travel to Edinburgh to take on Hearts.
Rangers emphatically defeated St Johnstone 3-0 in Perth in their only meeting so far this season, Carlos Pena scoring a double before Graham Dorrans added a third in what was one of Pedro Caixinha’s last matches in charge at Ibrox.
In other Rangers news, the Gers have reportedly opened preliminary talks with Dundee about signing Jack Hendry
