‘Ange Postecoglou in line to manage Ivan Toney, Riyad Mahrez after Tottenham sack’
Ange Postecoglou could be set for the chance to link up with former Premier League stars such as Ivan Toney and Riyad Mahrez after being sacked by Tottenham.
A 1-0 victory over Man United in the Europa League final last month had seen the Australian guide Spurs to their first major trophy in 17 years.
However, that was combined with a dismal Premier League campaign in which the club finished 17th after losing 22 of 38 league games.
Consequently, as was reported by Football Insider, Tottenham took the decision to sack Postecoglou at the end of the season.

Ange Postecoglou wanted in Saudi Arabia
After two years in charge in North London off the back of a trophy-laden spell at Celtic, the 59-year-old now finds himself looking for a new job after his dismissal.
It has been claimed that Postecoglou will not be short of offers after leaving Tottenham, and those opportunities are now starting to emerge.
According to a new update from The Telegraph, Saudi Pro League side Al-Ahli are interested in appointing the Australian if they are forced to change manager this season.
Their current boss, the German Matthias Jaissle, is apparently attracting interest from back in Europe after links to West Ham, after guiding his current club to the Asian Champions League title this season.
If Postecoglou was to move to Al-Ahli, he would take charge of a side that currently includes the likes of ex-Brentford striker Toney and former Man City winger Mahrez.
Liverpool icon Roberto Firmino and ex-Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy are also on the books of the Saudi side, meaning there would be plenty of big names for the former Tottenham manager to deal with.

Tottenham will take an interest in their former manager
Football Insider Verdict
The decision to sack Postecoglou raised plenty of eyebrows given the circumstances that have surrounded his departure.
While some understandably felt results in the league made his position untenable, others will have seen it as harsh given he had just ended their long wait for a trophy.
As a result, those at Tottenham will no doubt be following Postecoglou at his next club closely, to get an indication as to whether they made the right decision by letting him go.
That will of course, also be determined by how things work out for Spurs themselves over the next season and beyond.
Tottenham have appointed Thomas Frank as their new manager, with the former Brentford boss seen as a smart appointment by many.
Those at the club will hope that does prove to be the case, to ensure they are vindicated with their decision to make that change in the dugout.
