‘Ange Postecoglou will be sacked tonight’ – Nottingham Forest fans react to latest defeat
Ange Postecoglou’s job already hangs in the balance just seven games into his tenure at Nottingham Forest.
Postecoglou was appointed Nottingham Forest manager after the sacking of Nuno Espirito Santo following a two-year spell in charge of Spurs.
Nottingham Forest lost 3-0 to Arsenal in his match in charge, and Postecoglou’s side have been on a downward spiral since.
A 2-0 defeat at Newcastle leaves the Tricky Trees just one point above of the bottom three, after finishing seventh under Nuno last season.

Nottingham Forest fans want Ange Postecoglou sacked
Newcastle’s first goal against Nottingham Forest shouldn’t have stood according to a former PGMOL chief, but either way the Toon deserved their victory at St James’ Park.
Nottingham Forest supporters shared their frustration after the full-time whistle, with one fan commenting: “Relegation fodder under ange, zero attacking threat again, concede 2or 3 a game, get him sacked tonight.”
“Ange gets sacked tonight or tomorrow,” one supporter predicted on social media.
One fan commented his thoughts after the match: “That was such a depressing watch. The boys look lost and bereft of confidence. Egos have ruined our season and we are in a relegation dog fight already make no mistake, and we don’t have lionhearts out there.”
“Should never of sacked Nuno,” one fan posted, whilst another commented: “First time I’ve ever wanted a manager gone within weeks, but I can’t see this working out . God knows who comes next, whoever it is will have staying up as their priority. Today was ok 1st half but 2nd we looked lost and flat.”
A Forest fan believes the international break is a good time to change the manager: “Got to be it now. Give a new manager the international break.”
Fixture list worsens for struggling Postecoglou
Even with an international break to work with his squad who are not representing their country, the fixture list does not get any easier for Postecoglou.
Nottingham Forest host Chelsea and Porto, before travelling to high-flying Bournemouth to end October.
Performances so far suggest that Nottingham Forest would struggle to get any points out of those fixtures.
Postecoglou is in dire need of a win to lift spirits in the camp, with ruthless owner Evangelos Marinakis not one for being patient to wait for results to turn around.
