Angelo Stiller: Man United and Liverpool race to sign ‘one of the best in the Bundesliga’
Angelo Stiller is on the radar of both Manchester United and Liverpool ahead of the summer transfer window as he impresses at Stuttgart.
Stiller has been a consistent starter in the middle of the park for Stuttgart and is now a regular for Germany ahead of the World Cup.
The 25-year-old has been on Man United’s radar since last summer, and is now attracting attention from a whole host of top European clubs.
As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Transfer Insider podcast, Liverpool are battling United for Stiller’s signature, alongside the likes of Real Madrid and Inter Milan.
Signing a new defensive midfielder is set to be a priority in Man United’s summer transfer plans as Casemiro prepares to depart.

Liverpool are also planning to sign a new midfielder this summer after disappointing campaigns from the likes of Alexis Mac Allister, Curtis Jones and Wataru Endo.
Stuttgart are believed to be open to offers for Stiller this summer, but they could wait until after the World Cup to let him leave to capitalise on his potentially strong performances in North America.

Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, I explained: “(Stiller) has emerged as one of the best midfielders in the Bundesliga since joining Stuttgart from Hoffenheim in 2023.
“He’s a German international too, and I’m sure he will play a key role for Julian Nagelsmann’s side at the World Cup.
“A lot of clubs have looked at Stiller because he’s a defensive midfielder. His reading of the game is second to none.
“There’s been talk of interest from Real Madrid, Inter Milan…Liverpool and Man United have also been linked as well.”

United are believed to be after more than one midfielder this summer, with Stiller on their radar alongside several other targets.
Sources have told Football Insider that United are set to accelerate a move for Tonali this summer, with Nottingham Forest star Anderson now looking likely to join rivals City.
Tonali has been heavily linked with a move away from Newcastle in the last few months, with Arsenal also believed to have him on their radar.
