Anthony Gordon is the latest high-profile England star to show his support for the Under-21s after their dramatic Euros triumph.

Although now part of the senior setup, Gordon still paid tribute to his former coach after the latest U21 success. The Newcastle winger shared a graphic of Carsley on his Instagram story alongside the caption: “What a guy” with a heart emoji.
Gordon has established himself as a regular option for Thomas Tuchel’s squad, operating naturally on the left-hand side.
However, his form came under increased scrutiny towards the end of the season, with some Newcastle supporters suggesting the club should consider selling Gordon.
With Harvey Barnes becoming a consistent starter under Eddie Howe, it remains to be seen whether Gordon can hold down his place — or if a transfer could be on the cards this summer.

Speculation surrounding Gordon’s future has grown after he was pictured alongside Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones during the off-season, fuelling rumours of a potential move back to Merseyside.
