Arsenal are ‘finished’ after confirmed injury news – fans devastated
Arsenal fans believe that they are “finished” after they have been dealt another injury blow as Declan Rice did not travel to face Inter Milan on Wednesday (6 November).
Mikel Arteta revealed during his pre-match press conference that Rice picked up a knock against Newcastle last Saturday (2 November), which is keeping him out of Arsenal’s midweek encounter at the San Siro.
The Gunners might be boosted by the return of club captain Martin Odegaard, as the Norway international has been back in first-team training as he prepares for his comeback.
The 25-year-old has featured in every Premier League and Champions League fixture this season that he has been eligible for, with the midfielder missing the Tottenham game due to suspension.
Rice’s injury will force a major change to Arteta’s typical starting lineup for the upcoming fixture against the Serie A giants.
Arsenal are currently ninth in the Champions League table with Inter Milan sitting directly above them on goal difference, making this fixture an important one for Arteta’s side.
Arsenal supporters believe that they are cursed after Declan Rice’s injury
Fabrizio Romano clarified that Rice not traveling was due to a precaution as the issue isn’t expected to be a long-term problem.
The England international is set to be assessed again before the Chelsea game on Sunday (10 November), but fans admitted they’re “tired” of the ongoing injury issues they’re facing this season.
