Aston Villa fans burn key player on Twitter after controversy

Aston Villa fans have reacted in anger on Twitter after Jack Grealish has been accused of holding a ‘hippy crack’ party into the early hours of Sunday morning.

The 20-year-old midfielder is said to have awoke residents at a Birmingham hotel on Saturday night following his side’s 0-0 draw at home to Ipswich Town.

A source told The Mail Online that the party went into the early hours of Sunday morning, leaving other hotel guests restless and without sleep as balloons were used in a hippy crack party.

Grealish’s has impressed in patches this season under Roberto Di Matteo, but with this latest controversy, Villa fans have begun to hound the young winger on social media, expressing that he doesn’t deserve a starting slot.

One source is quoted as saying by Mail Online: “The noise was incredible. There were huge numbers of people inside the room and it was lawless. The other guests has no chance of getting any sleep.”

Grealish has never been far from controversy during his short career, and was pictured in June 2015 drunk and sprawled out on a road while on holiday in Tenerife.

A spokesman for Aston Villa said: “The club are aware of allegations regarding an incident at the weekend which we are investigating internally.”
