Arsenal fans react on Twitter after Lacazette scores hat-trick in 3-0 Lyon win
By Will Butcher
Arsenal have failed to sign Alexandre Lacazette – and supporters have outlined their frustration after he single-handedly dismissed French side Nancy on Sunday.
The 25-year-old scored three goals in the Lyon’s first Ligue 1 game of the campaign, completing his hat-trick in the 91st minute with a tidy finish into the bottom corner.
Lacazette has been one of the most prominent names linked to the Gunners this summer, after an impressive campaign last term that saw him find the back of the net 23 times in all competitions.
The London Evening Standard now claim that Lyon will offer the Frenchman a new contract worth more than £125,000-a-week.
Arsene Wenger is said to be keen to bring a striker to the Emirates, after starting with Alexis Sanchez in Sunday’s match against Liverpool.

The Ligue 1 Player of the Year for 204-15 has made 10 appearances for his national side, but was not selected for the France Euro 2016 squad despite being part of the preliminary squad.
The forward has only played for Lyon at senior level since his debut in 2010, but has been regularly linked with a move away from the seven-time league winners.
In other Arsenal transfer news, fans have also reacted to Wenger’s decision to leave Xhaka on the bench.
