Hector Bellerin has agreed a new Arsenal deal – and the club’s supporters revealed their excitement on Twitter.
The Gunners confirmed on their official website that the 21-year-old has signed a “long-term” contract at the Emirates.
The Evening Standard report that Bellerin has agreed a new six-and-a-half year deal worth more than £100,000-a-week after Manchester City and Barcelona were both monitoring his contract situation.
The Spanish defender has emerged as a pivotal player under manager Arsene Wenger and he will now look to focus his full attention on the north London club.
Arsenal fans voiced their joy with Bellerin’s decision to extend his stay and believe he is a crucial player for the club.

Bellerin has become a pivotal player for Arsenal in recent seasons and has now made 87 senior appearances across all competitions.
The right-back has managed to cement his place as regular in the starting XI and made a staggering 44 appearances last season, with his his eight assists highlighting the attacking abilities of the youngster.
He is currently sidelined with an ankle injury and missed the club’s 1-1 draw against Manchester United on Saturday, but will want to help the pursuit of the title when he returns.
French manger Wenger appears to have settled on his strongest defensive line-up when he has everyone available, with Bellerin playing alongside Shkodran Mustafi, Laurent Koscielny and Nacho Monreal.
Bellerin was recognised for impressive performances last season with a place in the PFA Team of the Year and will want to continue his phenomenal rise with the club.
He has also earned been recognised by his country and has now made three senior caps for Spain.
The defender has shot up through the club’s youth system since joining from Barcelona as a 16-year-old in 2011 and also benefited from a brief loan spell at Watford.
