Hector Bellerin has reportedly signed a new six-year contract with Arsenal – and fans on Twitter are delighted at the news.

According to The Mirror, the offer is worth in excess of £100,000 a week, which would net him more than £31.2million with bonuses and add-ons on top.

Spain international Bellerin has been a key part of the Arsenal side this season playing the full 90 minutes in all 11 of Arsenal’s Premier League games and helping to keep four clean sheets.

The news that he’s signed a new long-term deal is a huge boost to the club’s fans, currently reeling at the news that star striker Alexis Sanchez could be out for at least six weeks with a muscle injury.

They’ve taken to Twitter to celebrate the news about their Spanish defender, with fans reminding Wenger that he needs to sort long-term deals for Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez too.
