Arsenal fans react on Twitter as Tottenham handed major injury blow
By Emma Sanders
Arsenal fans have reacted with little sympathy on Twitter after it was reported that Tottenham’s Jan Vertonghen could be out of action for around two months with an ankle ligament injury.
The injury has come as a major blow to Tottenham who could be without one of their key players for several weeks during a crucial period in the title chase.
Reliable journalist Kristof Terreur revealed the news on his official Twitter account on Tuesday afternoon, and Vertonghen himself confirmed the injury and vowed to be back as soon as possible.
There's no exact time frame, as some players recover faster from ligament injuries. Though, Vertonghen could be out for around 2 months.

The Gunners are still in the running to win the league title and Tottenham are one of their main rivals alongside Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United.
Tottenham have already suffered a number of injury blows this season and fellow centre-back Toby Alderweireld was also forced to sit out a lengthy period prior to the festive period.
Harry Kane was another key player to pick up an injury but Tottenham have managed to come through the set-backs and they currently sit in second position in the league table.
Arsenal are just one point behind their rivals in fourth place.
In other Arsenal news, Olivier Giroud has urged this senior figure to extend his contract.
