Arsenal fans send Twitter message to Tottenham ahead of clash

By Dominic Toner

Arsenal fans on Twitter claim they are planning on ruining Tottenham’s title bid during their match on Sunday.

The Gunners travel to White Hart Lane at the weekend in the Premier League and will be looking to enhance their chances of a top-four finish.

Arsene Wenger’s side managed a narrow 1-0 victory over Leicester in mid-week and kept their Champions League hopes alive.

However, they will have an extra motivation at the weekend as they look to spoil the chances of a league title for north London rivals Spurs.

Mauricio Pochettino’s team are just four points adrift of the leaders Chelsea and are dreaming of a first Premier League crown.

Arsenal fans are adamant they will spoil their title challenge at the weekend and bring Spurs crashing back down to reality.

Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Arsenal have dominated the rivalry over Spurs during the past couple of decades, but the tide is beginning to turn.

Pochettino’s side now look set to at least finish above their rivals in the league table and are 14 points above them, having played a game extra.

They played out a 1-1 draw in the previous meeting this season at the Emirates Stadium and could be in for another close affair.

Spurs were in the running for the title last season before Leicester went on to win the crown, with a crushing draw to Chelsea at White Hart Lane ending their dreams.
