Arsenal are genuinely interested in swooping for Man United colossus Marouane Fellaini, according to a reliable journalist.
Paul Hirst, a reporter for TimesSport, made the claim on his personal Twitter account on Monday afternoon.
He added that it seemed more likely that he would sign for Arsenal than stay at United or move to AC Milan, and that he had spoken to new manager Unai Emery.
Fellaini, 30, is out of contract at the end of June and stands 6ft 4in tall, according to Transfermarkt.
Arsenal interest in Fellaini is genuine and it sounds like he’s more likely to sign for them than he is to renew with MUFC or sign for AC Milan. Has already spoken with Emery, who wanted to sign him for PSG.

Football Insider verdict:
Marouane Fellaini is an odd one. Brilliant for Everton, he’s only ever delivered as a bit-part player for Man United. Saying that though, how many talented players have fallen foul of the United curse? Paul Pogba is having his second bite at it and he’s not enjoying the taste much more than he did the first time round. Arsenal fans won’t be happy with the news, although maybe he’s the sort of player they need at the moment. There’s been a lot of people saying that Arsenal are too nice and don’t come with any physical presence. In fact some trace their demise back to Patrick Vieira. Fellaini is a completely different player but he’s capable of turning games and he’s not what you’d call a ‘nice’ player. He’s a bruiser and he can make life unpleasant for any team he faces. It would be one of the most sensational moves of the summer if he were to switch to north London, but with his contract up for renewal at the end of June, it makes a lot of sense financially.
