Arsenal idol 'amazed' by what he's seen from Xhaka and claims he should leave the club
Kevin Campbell has claimed Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka “has nine lives”.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Gunners and Everton striker was left ‘wowed’ by the 29-year-old’s performance in the north London derby.
Xhaka starred on Sunday as Arsenal beat Tottenham 3-1 at the Emirates.
The centre-midfielder returned to the starting XI for the clash having missed the previous two Premier League fixtures because of Covid-19.
Mikel Arteta views the Switzerland international as a big part of his plans this year despite his apparent desire to join AS Roma in the summer.
When asked by Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs for his thoughts on Xhaka’s rollercoaster Arsenal career, Campbell said: “It’s amazing.

“His Arsenal career is a maze. You go down one route and it’s blocked off and then you go down another and you get through.
“He should have been sold when he threw the shirt down. For me, that should have been him gone. He must have nine lives. I’m telling you he has nine lives.
“He had a very good game on Sunday. Mikel Arteta went with experience and the partnership of Xhaka and [Thomas] Partey worked well at times last season. That gave them the confidence.
“Arsenal bossed the midfield but we still saw some silly moves and fouls from Xhaka.
“Listen though, he had a very good game. Many Arsenal fans, including myself, were like, ‘Wow!’ He came back and he was solid.”
