Arsenal offer 25-year-old international to Euro giants, club respond- report
By Aramide Oladipo
Arsenal have offered midfielder Jack Wilshere to Italian giants AC Milan this summer, according to a report.
Corriere dello Sport claims that the 25-year-old’s agent has been in discussions with the Serie A side over a potential move because Milan’s sporting director Massimiliano Mirabelli is interested in adding another midfielder to the squad.
The Italian newspaper claims that Milan have declined the offer as they are far from convinced about Wilshere’s recent injury record with the Englishman currently out of action due to a broken leg.
Wilshere has only featured in an Under-23 match for the Gunners this season where he participated for more than 70 minutes.
The midfielder’s career has been seriously hindered by injuries which has ultimately seen him fall down the pecking order at the Emirates Stadium.

The England international was sent out on loan to fellow Premier League side Bournemouth last season in order to get back to full fitness and he produced some excellent displays.
Wilshere helped Bournemouth secure a third consecutive season in the Premier League – the first time that they have achieved this feat in their history.
The midfielder currently has one year remaining on his contract with the North London club.
Football Insider verdict
After performing so well with Bournemouth last season, Wilshere deserves a chance to fight his way back into the Arsenal first-team this season. The current Arsenal midfield options have looked unconvincing in the opening matches of the new campaign and if he is given the opportunity to play on a regular basis, Wilshere has all the quality to become a starter for the side. Milan’s concerns are completely understandable but Arsenal should seriously consider giving the Englishman another chance to prove himself in the lineup once he is fully fit as he might also be driven by the prospect of being selected for the England squad in next year’s World Cup in Russia.
