Arsenal told to sell Torreira and end his 'painful' spell in England after latest development - pundit
Kevin Campbell has told Arsenal to sell Lucas Torreira as they don’t know how to use him.
The Gunners icon, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, reacted to the latest on the midfielder.
According to Football.London (9th August),Torreira is still not back with Arsenal due to coronavirus rules and has not played a minute of pre-season football.
He spent the summer with Uruguay as they competed in the Copa America after spending last season with Atletico Madrid.
Torreira, 25, joined Arsenal in 2018 and has made 89 appearances for the club.
However, he was shipped out on loan in October after failing to break into Mikel Arteta’s plans.

Campbell insists the best move for all parties is to sell Torreira as Arteta can’t work him into his system.
“You’ve got to look at what Torreira has been through,” Campbell told Football Insider correspondent Dylan Childs.
“It’s painful, Arsenal can’t utilise him for whatever reason. It’s best for everyone that he goes somewhere where he’s more comfortable.
“He never settled in London. He needs to go somewhere to be happy.
“It’s just one of those things where you wish him well.
“He done well at times, under Unai Emery he played further forward for some reason, it was crazy.”
Torreira made 19 La Liga appearances last season as Atleti marched to their first title for almost decade.
The Spanish giants elected to not sign the midfielder after the expiration of his loan spell.
