Arsenal will sign Locatelli on one condition after Romano reveal - Campbell
Manuel Locatelli “will come to Arsenal” if Juventus cannot find the money to fund a deal.
That is the view of former Gunners and Everton striker Kevin Campbell, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the latest in Arsenal’s pursuit of the 23-year-old.
According to Fabrizio Romano (18th July), Arsenal are prepared to pay Sassuolo’s £34.5million asking price for the midfielder.
However, they are being made to wait as Locatelli would favour a move to Juventus, who are interested but have so far failed to make a suitable offer.
The Italy international has two years remaining on his contract at Sassuolo.
When asked if he was expecting Locatelli’s arrival, Campbell told Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs: “The key is, you have to be in there to win it.

“He has not turned down a move to Arsenal.
“He has a preference to stay in Italy, which is understandable. I 100 per cent get that. Most of the top Italian players want to stay in Italy and I have no problem with that.
“They key is, can Juventus afford him? We know there is some serious issues at Juventus money-wise and if they cannot find the money he will come to Arsenal. You have got to be in it to win it.
“They have agreed the fee so it is now just a matter of the player satisfying himself. I’ve got no problem with that whatsoever.
“If he goes to Juventus I wish him all of the best but it will be some coup if we get him. We haven’t even been in the running to sign these kind of players recently.”
