Midfielder axed in Bruce 4-2-3-1: Aston Villa best possible X1 to face Leeds
By Emma Sanders
Steve Bruce should make two changes to the Aston Villa side which defeated Burton Albion 2-1 for the clash against Leeds on Thursday evening.
Youngster Jack Grealish should return to the starting XI but Mile Jedinak must be axed after producing a lacklustre performance on Boxing Day.
The 32-year-old should make way for Jordan Ayew, who deserves to be handed a start after his second-half substitute introduction helped to change the course of the game against Burton.
Grealish should replace Leandro Bacuna but Gary Gardner and Ross McCormack are the best options in the centre of midfield, meaning Ashley Westwood misses out.
The back four should not be changed so the centre-back pairing of Nathan Baker and James Chester should remain the same, while Mark Bunn retains his place in goal.

Jordan Amavi has performed well in recent weeks at left-back so should be handed his 13th league start of the season, while Alan Hutton lines up on the opposite flank.
Garry Monk’s side could see the return of Chris Wood in the starting XI so Villa face a tough encounter.
Villa currently sit in 10th position in the Championship table.
