Aston Villa confirmed line-up v Bristol City: 25-year-old axed
By Amir Mir
Steve Bruce has made one change to the Aston Villa team that takes on Bristol City in a Championship clash on Tuesday night.
The Midlands club picked up a valuable 1-0 win during their last match against Derby County and they will be looking to secure another three points on home soil.
From the last fixture, Bruce has brought in Gary Gardner for Leandro Bacuna who was sent off against the Rams for body checking the assistant referee.
The 25-year-old has as a result been axed after he received a straight red late on during that encounter and is now set to miss three matches for his side.
Here is the club’s official Twitter account announcing the starting XI to face the Robins:

Goalkeeper Sam Johnstone will be looking to secure back-to-back clean sheets after the January signing kept his first at the weekend.
Furthermore, the centre-back pairing of James Chester and Nathan Baker will be looking to add stability and consistency to a Villa side that is in need of some points.
Midfielder Gardner, who comes into the side, has seemingly been picked ahead of Conor Hourihane who missed the last game through injury.
Lee Johnson’s side travel to the Midlands looking to cause an upset against the Championship giants and they will take inspiration from the reverse fixture.
Villa were beaten 3-1 at Ashton Gate in August when former Villa boss Roberto Di Matteo was in charge.
