Aston Villa fans react on Twitter to 22-year-old reported transfer

Aston Villa have given the green light for Aaron Tshibola to move to Championship rivals Nottingham Forest – and fans on Twitter are disappointed to see him leave.

Telegraph reporter John Percy has claimed on his personal Twitter account that the transfer for the 22-year-old midfielder to Forest is “done”.

Villa’s midfield numbers have increased this month following the arrivals of Henri Lansbury, Birkir Bjarnason and Conor Hourihane.

It means including the January buys,  Steve Bruce now has Mile Jedianak, Ashley Westwood, Gary Gardner and at times Jack Grealish to choose from for his midfield players.

But supporters on Twitter were not too pleased that the duo of Westwood and Gardner were not pushed out the door before the summer signing.

Roberto Di Matteo signed Tshibola from Reading for a fee of £5million, but since Bruce’s arrival in mid-October, he has seen his game time reduced.

He last featured for the club during their 1-0 loss at Paul Lambert’s Wolves and Tsbibola leaves after just six months at the club.

It is not reported by Midlands correspondent Percy whether the deal for Tshibola from Villa Park to the City Ground is a permanent one or a loan deal.

Nonetheless, fans wished him luck and some said that he was the only one who produced the goods from the middle of the park.

Other supporters said that now it is time for demoted striker Ross McCormack to leave the club alongside Westwood.
