Birmingham suffered a surprise 2-0 defeat against Burton on Friday evening – and Aston Villa fans took to Twitter to laugh at their fiercest rivals.
The Blues were defeated at the Pirelli Stadium with a first half goal from Lloyd Dyer and a second half strike from Jamie Ward, two players who started off at Villa Park.
Birmingham will host Villa at St Andrews in their next league fixture a week on Sunday, and they would have preferred to go into the match on the back of a victory.
Now Villa fans have added further insult to the injury, by taking to social media to mock Gary Rowett’s club for losing against the West Midlands outfit.
Here are a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Birmingham remain in the play off spots in fifth place following the defeat, but after the rest of the sides play on the weekend they could move as far down as seventh place.
Meanwhile, Villa are currently sat in 19th place and are preparing for a home fixture against Fulham on Saturday.
They could move up to as high as 12th place with a positive result against the Cottagers and place themselves six points behind Birmingham.
In other Aston Villa news, Villa could have potentially dropped a starting line-up hint after placing Ross McCormack on the cover of their match programme.
