Aston Villa have been handed a major boost as Jonathan Kodjia will be available to feature in the end of season run-in, it has been confirmed.
It was revealed on the club’s official Twitter account on Wednesday afternoon that the 27-year-old striker was set to serve a one-match ban following his red card in the defeat to Fulham on Monday.

The striker had earlier been expected to miss the final three games of the season with suspension, although it now appears as though he will be able to face Blackburn and Brighton.
He will, however, be forced to sit out of the upcoming Midlands derby clash with rivals Birmingham at the weekend.
The news will comes as a major boost to Aston Villa fans as well as Kodjia, with the Ivory Coast international currently just one goal shy of the 20-goal landmark for the season.
He now has an opportunity to become the first Aston Villa player since Peter Withe in 1980-81 to score 20 league goals in a single campaign, after the club’s appeal against the decision brought considerable success.
Kodjia had been shown a straight red card by referee David Coote in the 3-1 defeat to Fulham on Monday, after the striker was alleged to have kicked out at defender Ryan Fredericks.
