Aston Villa ‘line up Leandro Trossard deal’ with Jacob Ramsey timeline set
Aston Villa may be on the verge of losing Jacob Ramsey, but the club are looking to secure a Premier League star as an imminent replacement.
Midfielder Ramsey wants to move to Newcastle, and the Toon are discussing a transfer with Aston Villa.
Ramsey is “unhappy” at Aston Villa, and the 24-year-old could be the perfect signing for Newcastle and manager Eddie Howe.
Both Aston Villa and Newcastle have suffered tough transfer windows and are still looking to strengthen their squads with the start of the new Premier League season looming.
Newcastle want Ramsey before Villa clash

According to The Standard [14 August], Newcastle want to secure Ramsey before their first Premier League fixture, against Aston Villa in just two days time.
Villa have therefore lined up a replacement in Arsenal forward Leandro Trossard and the Midlands club have enquired about his availability.
Trossard has fallen down the pecking order in North London after Arsenal signed Chelsea winger Noni Madueke.
Bayern Munich have expressed interest in Trossard, although the 30-year-old is currently carrying an injury and is a doubt for Arsenal’s first match of the season at Manchester United.
Villa looking at attacking options

Football Insider Verdict
Trossard will struggle for minutes at Arsenal this season, and Mikel Arteta is still searching for another forward, with Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze a primary target.
With just one year left on his current deal at the Emirates, Villa could snatch Trossard at a low price.
The 30-year-old would bring a wealth of Premier League experience to Aston Villa, and can play on the left flank or centrally.
Technically an excellent player, Trossard would be an fine short-term replacement for Ramsey and would be a versatile option for manager Unai Emery.

With Morgan Rogers though also the subject of interest from club’s, Emery would be losing two his young stars at the club.
Bringing in a younger playmaker to replace the pair would also be ideal for Emery, as Aston Villa aim to place in the Champions League spots this season after narrowly missing out last campaign.
More stars could be set to leave Villa Park too, with winger Leon Bailey set to be another loss in attack, so Emery will require further reinforcements.
